Why does it take us some time to see things in a dimly lit room when we enter

Accepted Answer: Ans: When one enters a dim lit room from bright sunlight, it takes some time to see the objects, due to the fact that, in bright sunlight the pupil of our eye is small.

So, when we enter the dim lit room, very little light enters our eye and we are unable to see properly. After a short time, the pupil of our eye expands and becomes large. More light then enters our eye and we can see clearly.
