Why does it takes time to see objects in a cinema hall when we just enter the hall from a bright sunlight?

This happens because , when we are in sunlight, the pupil of our eye allows less amount of light to enter our eye i.e. it contracts. Because in sunlight we dont need more light to see things clearly.
But, when we go in a cinema hall, there is darkness and thus it takes some time for the pupil to expand and allow more amount of light to enter in our eyes.
