John wished he was dead bcoz he loved his wife a lot and due to a brief meeting with the ghost, a misunderstanding had developed and it had resulted in her wife Lavinia to leave his house and as the letter indicated that she was leaving for her grandma 's home and her lawyer would be doing the talking in place for her .
