Why does kanyakumari recieves less rainfall?

Kanyakumari is the first place to receive rainfall and the last to see it retreat because in india the monsoon is arises from bay of bengal and indian ocean which is close to kanyakumari so when monsoon starts here show rainfall first and last because after monsoon it comes from upper part of country to lower part of country and submerged in indian ocean.
