Kerosene burns with a blue flame in a wick stove but with a yellow flame in a lamp because in a wick stove it gets more oxygen whereas in a lamp it gets lesser amount of oxygen. Due to this, in the wick stove, complete combustion takes place giving it a blue colour whereas in the lamp incomplete combustion takes place giving it a yellowish colour.
