Hello
The answer is
There are pigments present on the surface of leaves called chlorophyll. During the fall, chlorophyll breaks down. Because of changes in the length of daylight and change in temperature, the leaves stop their food making process. The chlorophyll breaks down and the green colour dissappears and different colors mainly like yellow to orange becomes visible and give the leaves part of their fall splendor.
Hope it helps you
