Why does level of water not changed when salt is dissolved into water

When salt is mixed with water,the level of water don't rose because as the particles of salt are very small that's why those particles take the place between the water particles

Since we know that in liquid intermolecular space is present.so when we stir the solution the salt particles arrange themselves into that space and therefore the level of water does not change....
