why does lime water turn milky by breathed out air ?

As the calcium present in it reacts with carbon dioxide and gives us calcium carbonate which is white in colour

Air, when breathed out, contains carbon dioxide. It reacts with limewater to form calcium carbonate, which is insoluble and turns the solution milky.
Ca(OH)₂ + CO₂ → CaCO₃ + H₂O
