why does lower part if leaf lose more water ?

because it has pad like structure and it's not ideal for water storing.So, it loose more water in transpiration

Therefore, the upper surface of the leaf is covered with a thicker cuticle as compared to the lower surface. Hence, the upper surface of the leaf is shinier than the lower surface.
