Many plants starts flowering or food production based on light, humidity and temperature; and these characteristics tell them that the summer is near. That is when they are ready to produce fruits. Same is the case with mangoes. They depend upon hot temperature for the seed production. At tropic there is a lot difference in rain and temperature. That's why mangoes are more adapted t grow in tropic region.

Mangoes are tropical fruits so they don't grow in a cold weather like spring winter or fall season… Mangoes are adapted and thrive in their niche only through season sensing similar to the summer-flowering plants. Mangoes has a heat property which is not even reduced after keeping it in refrigerator.
