Milk is converted into curd by the process called "Fermentation". Milk contain protein called casein . A small amount of curd is added to fresh milk as starter. And curd is formed by the chemical reaction between Lactic acid bacteria and Casein . And you can also note this Curd contains vitamin B12 . In our stomach the Lactic Acid Bacteria play a very beneficial role in checking disease - causing microbes.
