Why does modern history have more source of information than other two periods

As in modern History papers and all were discovered which was not in other periods so which helped us to have more resources.Due to a discovery of paper, there were more biographies, autobiographies, foreign accounts etc.. 
even discovery of new technologies helped in the maintenance of resources.
