why does moving air provide lift

A wing is shaped and tilted so the air moving over it moves faster than the air moving under it. As air speeds up, its pressure goes down. So the faster-moving air above exerts less pressure on the wing than the slower-moving air below.

  • ❇️ Moving air reduces the air pressure. When air blows over or below an object, the air pressure gets reduced over or below the area of that object. As a result, a pressure difference gets created between the two opposite sides of the object. This pressure difference provides a lift and moves the object from low pressure area to high pressure area.
