Mrs Pumphrey thought that the recovery of the dog is “a triumph of surgery” because Tricki had recovered completely by transforming into the strong muscled animal. After seeing her, the dog jumped on her lap and started licking her face, so Mrs Prumphey confirmed that this is a triumph of surgery in order to express happiness towards the doctor.

Mrs pumphrey think the dogs recovery is a triumph of surgery because she noticed a drastic change in the dog. earlier the dog was hugely fat, dull, inactive and lifeless. but after the treatment, he is full of life, active and runs and leaps into the car on Mrs pumphrey's lap. she is therefore extremely grateful.
