Why does Mumbai receive rainfall in summers while Chennai receives rainfall in winters?

Mumbai received about 200 cm rainfall in summer months because it lies lies on the windward side of the Western Ghats which traps the southh west monsoons.. Chennai on the other hand, gets little rainfall from the south west monsoons and much more from the north east monsoons which blow from sea to land in winter
