Why does my electric torch go dim?

Your electric torch goes dim because the cell or battery which you use as a source of current for the working of your torch has produced too much of internal resistance and most probably the potential difference maintained across the terminals has come to a state of almost equilibrium. This might be the reason for the dim glowing of your torch.
