An atom has no net electrical charge because its subatomic particles carry no electrical charges. The positively charged neutrons cancel out the negatively charged electrons. the positively charged protons cancel out the negatively charged electrons.

Answer:

Neutrons are neutral subatomic particles and have no net electric charge. The neutron has no net charge because the quarks that make up a neutron cancels each other.
