Why does not Platinum liberate hydrogen on reacting with dilute sulphuric acid?​

Platinum is placed below hydrogen in the reactivity series as we know. Therefore, it cannot lose electrons to hydrogen ions of the acid called dilute sulphuric acid. Hydrogen gas is not evolved when Platinum reacts with dilute sulphuric acid.
