Why does not solid Nacl conduct electricity but solid metal i.e iron or copper conduct?

because it has electron present in it so it conduct electricity

In NACL(SODIUM CHLORIDE) there ions were fixed in position and therefore these ions cannot move so solid ionic compound cannot conduct electricity.
