why does not the moon fall onto the earth?

the centripetal force between them doesn't let this happen

➡️ Moon is orbiting the earth with very high tengential velocity..If the moon orbital speed becomes zero then moon doesn't able to rotate around the earth.., rather it would fall directly to the earth
The gravitational attraction of earth provides the necessary centripital force which bends the high velocity vector continously and keeps the moon into its orbit ...
