Why does oxygen not show 4 and 6 oxidation states like sulphur?

and Sulphur has more no. shells as compared due to this it can easily share electron
therefore it also has oxidation state of 4 and 6
and oxygen has smaller
and smaller more in electronegativity and it doesn't loose electrons easily
therefore it's oxidation is always be 2
