ozone is formed when O₂ is exposed to UV radiation . the radiation breaks gas and make it react with other gas molecule  . As the ozone is a allotropic form of oxygen it contain three oxygen atom that's why it have the atomicity 3 .

it is a oxidiser and absorbed UV AND IR radiation to protect the earth .
CFC's are major  cause of ozone depletion .

Vineeta100: Thanks
AionAbhishek: never mind
