Persome feels that people pretend to be sick so that the Bishop calls on them. She feels that people take advantage of the simplicity and kind heartedness of the Bishop who extends his helping hand to anybody who is in distress.

Persome feels the people pretend to be sick in order to get sympathy of the bishop. They no that bishop's doors are open for everybody. He won't back out of his promise. They force him to visit them, pray for them, comfort and console them. They want him to sit with them even on dark chilly nights of the cold winter.
