Leaves are green in colour and hence they absorb all colours of light except green. If we provide only green, it will reflect the light as it can't absorb it. But for photosynthesis to happen, the leaves need to absorb light.
Since there is absorption of light, photosynthesis can't occur.

For Photosynthesis one of the factors is Sunlight.Plants absorb the red light the best. They absorb green light very little because the leaves reflect the green light.Green light may be absorbed by non-green leaves.
Hope it helps and pls mark as the best answer. :-)
