Why does photosynthesis happen only in chloroplast

as it contains green pigment chlorophyll which plays a very important role in the process of photosynthesis.
as absorption of light energy is through chlorophyll which further convert it into chemical energy.

Chloroplast contains a pigment called chlorophyll which traps sunlight sunlight is absorbed by the plant
