why does photosynthesis not take part in yellow leaves​

Photosynthesis does take place in yellow leaves too.

Explanation:

this is because the chloroplast is hidden under the chromoplast which is yellow in colour . they look yellow but they too perform photosynthesis due to presence of chlorophyll.
