why does plant cell posses large sized vacuole?


rutikapalwe: bcoz they continuously perform photosynthesis and they need a large storage bag to store the produced ATP

In plant cells, the vacuoles are muchlarger than in animal cells. When aplant cell has stopped growing, there is usually one very large vacuole. Sometimes that vacuole can take up more than half of the cell's volume. The vacuole holds large amounts of water or food.

plants have large sized vacuoles because they store the excess food,water and waste materials in that vacuole
