In-plant cells, the vacuoles can occupy up to 90 per cent of the cell’s volume. Thus, plant cells are known to large-sized vacuoles than animal cells as they need to store food and water. This is because the plant doesn’t possess the ability to move freely like that of animals. Thus, they have large vacuoles as a reservoir in unfavourable conditions.
