According to Fluid Mechanics, water always tries to flow from high pressure to low pressure.

According to Thermodynamics, Heat flows from high temperature to low temperature.

Similarly electrons tries to flow from high potential to low potential. But electrons are negatively charged elements, there high potential is Negative terminal. So electrons move from Negative terminal to Positive terminal. Since electrons move from negative terminal to positive terminal, holes move from Positive terminal to Negative terminal. Movement of Holes is called Current. So current flows from High potential to Low Potential.
