Its just because of the population of India that we are facing poverty. As government of India is not able to fulfil the demands of one's living in the country like food, basic needs, etc. For this Indian Government buy goods for other nations and spend much of its currency and can never become self sufficient.. It is the major reason because of what India is yet facing poverty.

Poverty is still a challenge for the Indian Government because :

1. Indian people are facing problems of over-population. Hence our resources are less while people are more. This leads to depletion of economy and hence poverty increases .

2. There are no good facilities to remove poverty as undertaken by private philanthropists .

3. Farmers who constitute much of the population are in debts and hence they are also in the category of the poor.
