R.K.Narayan used passive voice while narrating the stories because ....if the story is said continuously that too with no actions or the change of voice then the listeners are obviously bored....So R.K.Narayan used to narrate the story with passive voice and stifling so that the listener would be anxious about what happens next...so to maintain that suspense he used to narrate so...
