Why does rainfall ecreases from east to wst in northern india?

Rainfall increases from East to West in northern India because when monsoon hit first the kerla the clouds first divide a small part of it goes towards Maharashtra and a huge part goes toward East and from East to it goes to North and then slowly towards Maharashtra so Maharashtra receive 2 times the rainfall
