Western rainfall originates from North-east side i.e from Bay of Bengal.North-east gets most of the rainfall. As the currents travel from north-east to west The currents get drier and drier as lack of water bodies in the wester parts also most of the wet currents get precipitated On the way to west side.So when the currents reach western side finally, the rainfall decreases as compared to rainfall in the easter sides .
