Hi friend !!
We know that ions take part in chemical reactions !
An ionic compound has postively charged ions (actions) and negatively charged ions(anions) which take part in chemical reactions and dissociate into ions after the reaction occurs .
So reactions involving ionic compounds occur at a faster rate !!
Hope that helps !!
