why does red soil requires irrigation??​

Red soil are aluminous with quartz present as free sand. however it is highly rich in other minerals. The top players of the red soil is Sandy however the the lower layers are fertile.The red soil are loamy so they cannot retain water as the black soil does.

So the proper use of fertilizers and irrigation method is used to increase the fertility of the red soil so there will be a good quality yield of crops like cotton, wheat,pulses,millets, potatoes and many other fruits.
