why does ripened mango appears yellow

ellow in colour. The raw mango is green due to chlorophyll. As the mango ripens, the chlorophyll is broken down forming other pigments which give the colour to ripened mango (yellow and red colours).And the chloroplast gets converted into chromoplast

It is due to the Dominant pigment of ripened Mango is yellow in colour
