When hydrogen sulphide gas is exposed to air :
1) It is slowly oxidized by the oxygen present in the air.
2) When it is oxidized elemental sulphur is formed.
The elemental sulphur is yellow in colour.
Therefore a yellow turbidity is formed.
That is why H2S becomes turbid when exposed to air.
