Why does sexual reproduction provide more opportunities for genetic variation than asexual reproduction?

sexual reproduction
sexual reproduction is nothing but a the gaments are involved here. the advanced organism have two forms (male and female).the male reproductive cells sperms and female reproductive cell egg fuse to form zygote (form individual).
some organism like earthworm, leeches, snail dont have different forms. the both male and female reproductive organ is found in both of the organism. they are called hermaphrodites .
the only advantage of this is the with the special kind of cell division the half of the chromosome from each parent is transformed. so the default of parent is not passed on to the generations, these chromosomes (x and y) determines the individual is boy or girl . the male transfer this chromosomes in male playing a major role in genetic variation..
