why does shadow become diminished if we increase distance between source of light and object​

As the distance between the source of light and the object increases, the shadow of an object will also increase till the light on the object is maintained. At one point, the shadow will going to disappear because the light on an object will going to decrease.

We know that if the distance between the Source of Light and the Object is less then the Shadow formed is big as it blocks a large a large amount of Light energy....,but if the distance between them is more then, the Umbra becomes very small and Penumbra becomes big.....the Penumbra gradually expands and becomes fade.....So ultimately there is no formation of a Shadow.
