Why does silver displaces hydrogen in its corrosion reaction, though hydrogen is more reactive?​

Silver has a strong affinity for sulphur. So the Ag-S bond will be formed only if it is more stable and stronger than the H-S bond. In other words, the formation of Ag. This is the reason why the reaction occurs, leading to the formation of Ag2S.
