QUESTION ⤵️

why does sky look blue on a clear day

ANSWER ⤵

All small particles present in the atmosphere of the earth will scatter blue light all over.

The one with the shorter wavelength will travel more distance and cover the more area and that's why Blue -rays have the shortest wavelength, that's why the blue colour is scattered all over in the sky.

the sunlight passes through the atmosphere will not scatter the larger wavelengths but it will scatter the smaller wavelength that is the blue colour.

Blue light is scattered in all directions by the tiny molecules of air in Earth's atmosphere. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time. Closer to the horizon, the sky fades to a lighter blue or white.
