1. Music instruments don't vibrate at a single frequency a given note involves vibration at many different frequencies.
2. The tone quality of every musical instrument is different which makes their sound unique.
3. The shapes and types of material they are made of also creates difference in the tone quality of instrument.
4. The harmonic partials associated with each instrument gives them a unique tone which distinguishes them from the others.
