Peninsular Indian climate is mainly tropical in nature and is found to be more favourable for Sugarcane cultivation. Long sunny days with cool nights with clear skies are highly favourable for sugar accumulation. This has resulted in higher yield per hectare scale.

Peninsular cane is found to be high in sugar content when compared to the Northern cane. This means lots of sugar from little amount of cane. Again good for profit
