Why does Sue ask Johnsy to not move till she returns?​

Sue sought this promise because she did not want Johnsy to go deeper into depression on seeing the ivy leaves fall. More she could not put the curtains to stop jhonsy from looking at the ivy leaves.

with a feeling that as soon as that happens she will die too. In order to stop Johnsy from
