during the change in state of matter the temperature usually remains constant

when the state of matter changes the intermolecular Bond attains such energy due to which it tends to break

this leads to higher randomness in the molecules of the matter hence converting solids to liquids and liquids to gases

during this process temperature doesn't change as this is an isothermal process
