Why does temperature remain constant during phase change?

this is bcoz the heat energy absorbed during phase change is used up in increasing the itermolecular space rather than increasing the kinetic energy of the molecules.

coz energy supplied by heat differs in its phase changes e. g. heat energy doesn't change into kinetic energy of particles but weakening bonds between them
