Why does temperature starts rising gradually towards the interior of the earth?

because of the heat and pressure of earth's surface which is the core .its gradually the inner core. the deeper the earth's surface the temperature begins to rise . the heat of this place can melt the iron material as it goes above 200 degree celcius.lava generally presents in this place
