Why does the Aravalli range let's the Arabian sea branch of the south west monsoon pass without shedding much rain.​

The Arabian Sea branch of the South west monsoon blows parallel to the Aravalli Hills. Since the moisture-bearing winds do not strike the mountains, they do not cause any precipitation in Western Rajasthan.
