iswaran was a excellent storyteller and often read many Tamil thrillers. due to this his stories were very cinematic and thrilling. for example, he wouldn't say they was a uprooted tree lying on the road but would instead compare it to a monster or animal lying on the road so as to make it more entertaining. Thus, Iswaran seemed to compensate for the absence of a T.V
