Why does the candle in a big tumbler burn for longer time not in the small tumbler?

here is your answer
when we cover the candle with a glass tumbler the oxygen required for combustion reduces. thus the candle stops burning. Fire needs oxygen to burn and when tumbler covers the candle it uses up all the oxygen contained in the glass tumbler and is extinquished.
